Navigating Consideration in Every Step

Understanding the needs and experiences of others is at the heart of design thinking. Being designerly involves a deep sense of empathy, actively listening to those you are designing for, and seeing the world from their perspective.

Never having been a sales representative, nor having ever played one on TV, I found myself curious about the typical workday of someone in this role. As a designer, I know the importance of understanding the end user, so I applied a familiar design principle to this challenge: the first rule of design—empathize with your user.
